Ahead of releasing Golden Suits' new album Kubla Khan on Friday, Fred Nicolaus shows off his rougher side with the self-scrutinizing "Don't Let Love Go By."

"Don't Let Love Go By" follows singles "Gold Feeling" and "Is It Wrong." Nicolaus told WNYC, who premiered the track:

"I grew up going to punk shows in the Bay Area and I've always loved loud cathartic music like Queens of the Stone Age or The Walkmen's more ragey moments. I always wanted to do an angry kind of song but it never felt right for me until this one. I think the reason why it panned out is that the anger is self directed."

Kubla Khan is Golden Suits' second album and is available now for pre-order on vinyl at a discount.
