Today we're excited to welcome Evan Voytas to the Hit City family with the release of Disappear Into the Stars/Lite Conversation, out now.
"Disappear Into the Stars" and "Lite Conversation" mark a welcome return for the out-there pop maestro, intergalactic in their scope but intimate in delivery. Voytas has refined his style in the three years since 2012's Feel Me EP, writing instantly familiar tunes that simultaneously reference ’70s pop and ’90s rap.
Today we're happy to release new music from Astronauts, etc. “I Know” delivers a floaty, shimmering meditation on those curious stages of early love when all is undetermined. Blending thawed-out ’70s tones with sentiments of soul and echoes of modern indie guitar rock — you're gonna love it.
Only You's self-directed video for "Let Me Burn" is out today and we couldn't be happier to share it with you all — the track appears with "The Pressure" on Only You's recent contribution to our For Immediate Release single series.
The Pressure/Let Me Burn — Only You's Hit City U.S.A. debut — shows disparate phases to the enchanting Rachel Fannan, a Malibu-native and Angeleno by-way-of San Francisco.
We're excited for 2015—we've got a lot of ideas and plans in the works not least of which is a new LP from Oakland's own Astronauts, etc. Get ready—and work through last night's celebrations—with this woozy remix of "Sadie" from Gent Mason.
Swim Team's singles, "Clairvoyant" and "I'll Always Come Back," were born from inspiration found in a partly broken synthesizer. The two songs form the second release in our For Immediate Release (FIR) digital single series.
